Welcome to NEWBURGH YARN CO. I’m Kim, a small-batch indie yarn dyer based in the Hudson Valley in Newburgh, New York.
Honestly, I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I’d get to spend my days creating, but here we are and I’m not asking too many questions. I specialize in rich, saturated tonals. That’s where my heart is. I love creating colorways that feel wearable and timeless, with a strong pull from nature and anything with a good vintage vibe. Each of my yarn bases are dyed with care, using high-quality, ethically sourced materials from farms that prioritize mulesing-free practices. Designed with garment makers in mind, I currently offer both superwash and non-superwash options.
